Careers · Contractor Bench

Work with
us.

We help mid-market organizations turn AI tools into real workflows — through education and installation. We're an AI-native shop running engagements in healthcare, legal, and trades, and we work with senior independents to deliver them. We're building a small bench of people we trust and keep coming back to. Each project is scoped and agreed on its own.

What you'd do

Depending on the engagement:

Lead client-facing sessions

Workshops and bootcamps that take non-technical teams from beginner to advanced, plus working sessions with leadership on where AI fits their operations.

Own the engagement

Set expectations, run the work, review feedback, adjust. You hold the client relationship end to end.

Scope and direct the build

You define what gets built and how it serves the client. Developer support handles implementation — you stay fluent enough to scope it well and get hands-on when an engagement calls for it.

The core skill: making AI feel usable, not threatening, for non-technical business people.

Who we're looking for

The rare and valuable combination: someone genuinely hands-on with AI tools who can talk to non-technical business people without jargon. Most people have one. We hire for both.

  • You live in AI coding tools — Claude Code, Codex, or similar — and build real things with them most weeks.
  • You can sit across from a CHRO and explain what you built without a single piece of jargon, because you remember being the beginner.
  • You came at this from a non-technical place. A career change, a business you run, work you taught yourself. That path is a plus, not a gap to explain away.
  • You have a current, opinionated grasp of the tool landscape — Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make, Zapier — and you know when not to automate something.
  • You like teaching non-technical people, and it shows.

The details

  • Independent contractor (1099), engaged per project. You set your own hours and approach; we agree on deliverables and timelines.
  • Remote, with occasional travel for on-site sessions.
  • Developer support is available for implementation. You own scoping and client direction.
  • $120+/hr depending on experience, or a flat project fee — whichever fits the engagement.
